I love everything about this. What a beautiful drawing. This way you’ll always have Paris. 🥲

😭😭😭 I had a follower paint the view from my lockdown roof when I was their window to a place they couldn’t reach. It’s a strange special world we have created.

I am looking forward to following your new adventures!

And. Currently craving a Sizzler salad

I got to add that view to my mental files too! And i still credit it with getting me pregnant after 4 years of disappointments. Paris, that view, and you, breathed life back into my soul. Memories in my heart and mind forever...So excited to create new ones again ❤️

I have extremely vivid memories of Sizzler's salad bar! The kids' section especially: chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs, little pizzas. And...and...the soft serve machine that you controlled yourself? The SPRINKLES!! Sigh...

Beautiful post, Sara. Wishing you all the best with your move. Also, a big YES to the Sizzler memories! My grandpa actually co-owned a couple of Sizzlers in Southern California in the 70s and 80s and it was one of his partners who invented the salad bar! No joke. It was so popular that corporate adopted the idea and spread it nationwide. And yeah, it was the first restaurant to do the salad bar in that way, at least that's what I've always heard in my family. Unfortunately, it all kind of fell apart not long after. Anyways, we used to go there all the time, and as soon as the salad bar was introduced, that's what I got every time. Vegetable beef soup, crab salad, DIY bean burritos, and the soft serve ice cream were my favorites (so random lol). And the cheese toast! Great memories. Have you seen the Anthony Bourdain episode where he goes to the Sizzler in Koreatown in LA with artist David Choe (who was also nostalgic for Sizzler)? I've got to watch that again...
