It’s July 26, which means the Great Exodus of les Parisiens will begin in T-minus four days (give or take) with many butchers, bakers, candlestick makers (et al.) closing up shop for the summer. In the spirit of this undeniably frustrating yet super commendable tradition, I’m going to attempt to take a break myself. (Unless, that is, something truly momentous happens and I am inspired to whip something together!)
I hope you understand and will allow yourself a break during these long and lush summer days, too. If you are able, take something that is usually a priority (like, say, a newsletter!) and give yourself permission to go dark while you go within. (Or wherever. :)
As for me, I’m off on one more quick assignment trip tomorrow before heading to New York for most of August and then le Sud for my birthday with a dear friend.
I’ll need good tunes for it all, so with the help of some cavedwellers in a few recent caves I facilitated I put together a summer playlist full of songs, old and new, inspired to put us all in the mood for les vacances.
Profitez bien, mes amies. xx — Sara
Buon Vacances!
