What a delight this was to read! So many thoughts about grocery stores (naturally) and I agree that TJs is NOT for fresh foods! It’s for snacks that somehow carry the halo effect of appearing less processed (?) when they clearly are not. I loved this little slice of New York life, and am reminded to think about a return trip soon. I hope it all welcomes you back with pleasant surprises and lots of little joys.

Wait until you see the pay for tote at target lol now thats a status symbol 🤣

Also its a whole foods / TJ mix of groceries on the regular for me - nothing wrong with snagging your choc covered (almonds for me)…cherries there and getting your fruit and veggies at WF!

Either way- so happy to have you home! ❤️

Merci my dearest. And you're right. Actually, the French shop like this all the time. Cheese from here, bread from there, fruit/vege from elsewhere. Just immediately fell back into what I used to do in the Before Times.

So many things in here landed with me, not the least of all Vamp and Spice (I also coveted but couldn’t afford Russian Red from MAC). But more importantly in the words of Taylor Swift, “welcome to New York. It’s been waiting for you.” 🫶🏼
